Further attempt to elect PM today

The Nepalese parliament will make its 18th attempt to elect a primer minister today.

The stalemate has continued since mid 2010. Following repeated unsuccessful attempts to elect a PM, the parliament approved new rules which should break the deadlock. As many as four candidates may stand for the position.
