Hollande popularity plummeting

Published

The popularity of President Fran├žois Hollande is falling rapidly if a new poll by Ifop/JDD in Le Journal du Dimanche is to be believed.

A recent poll conducted by the agency and published in the weekly French newspaper gives the president a satisfaction rating of just 43% in September. This compares with 54% in August and 61% in May. Those who are discontent with the president has risen from 33% in May to 45%% in August and 56% this month. High unemployment and stagnation of growth in the economy are thought to be the main reasons for the unprecedented drop.
