Internal strife continues
The internal battle between President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad and the Supremem Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In April the president dismissed Intelligence Chief Heydar Moslehi only to have his appointment reinstated by the supreme leader.
Now the president has clipped the wings of the intelligence chief by removing him from his membership of the Money & Credit Council, a key appointment. The constitution allows for the supreme leader to overturn the president’s decisions, so it will be interesting to see what the next move will bring.
