Ministers replaced in readiness for election

President Abdullah Gul has replaced the Ministers for Justice, Interior and transport with public servants in readiness for the 12th June general election.

Turkish law requires that the three ministries are run by non-partisan officials in the lead up to a general election. The three appointees are:

Ahmet Kahraman, Justice
Osman Gunes, Interior
Mehmet Habib Soluk, Transport.
