New Cabinet in Turkey


Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan has presented the newly appointed Turkish Cabinet to President Abdullah Gül and the 26 ministers of the new government have now held their first meeting. There has been a major restructuring of state ministries, with eight abolished, six new ones introduced, two merged and a further two transformed. The cabinet, which now consists of 21 ministers and four deputy prime ministers, has only one female minister.
