Published

The Estonian Government formally resigned yesterday, 4th April 2011, and will be back in about two weeks time.

The resignation was a formality following the general election on 6th March.  The previous government, a coalition of the Reform Party and Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica (IRL), will return once President Toomas Hendrik Ilves invites Andrus Ansip, the leader of the Reform party to form a new government.

The published aims of the two parties are to achieve tax cuts and a budget surplus by 2014.
