New highway with South Sudan

President Yoweri Museveni has commisioned a new highway which will go between the northern Ugandan city of Gulu and travel 104 kms to the southern South Sudan city of Nimule.

The work along the existing A104 is to be undertakn by China Henan International Cooperation Group Limited and should be completed by August 2014. The road will be upgraded from gravel to tarmac.

The road will enhance both the economies of northern Uganda and South Sudan and will creat further opportunities for foreign direct investment (FDI).
