Vice President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi will be sworn in today as the new president of Yemen.

The Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum have confirmed that the turnout for the presidential election on Tuesday was 65% with about 6.6 million of the 10.2 million voters recording their vote. Of those that voted, 99.8% voted for the Vice president.

Former president Ali Abdullah Saleh returned to Yemen from the United States earlier today following treatment for burns incurred during a rocket attack on the presidential palace last year.
