Parliament ready to go

Parliament is expected to hold its first session on Monday 1st August in line with election law following the endorsement of another batch of MPs by the Election Commission.

A total of 496 MPs of the 500 in the House of Representatives have now been cleared. Three more seats will be decided on Sunday, two in re-elections and a third following a recount of the ballot papers.

The final seat is that of Red Shirt leader Jatuporn Prompan who the Election Commission is refusing to endorse.
