New PM appointed

Following more protests in the capital Tunis the interim Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi has resigned and been replaced by lawyer Beji Caid Essebsi as the head of the transitional government.

The protesters were demanding that all those who had served in the government of the ex president, Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali, should go.
