Poll predicts win for current coalition partners

Published

A poll in the Tallinn based newspaper Postinees suggests that the Estonian Reform Party (Eesti Reformierakond) will win 40 (currently 31) of the 101 seats in the Estonian parliament or Riigikogu and the Union of Pro Patria and Res Republica (Isamaa ja Res Publica Liit) will win 18 seats (currently 19).

If this poll is correct then this should return the current coalition to government in the 6th March general election.

Meanwhile results out for the fourth quarter of 2010 suggest that the economy expanded by 6.6% and unemployment fell to 93,000 from a high of 137,000 earlier in the year.
