President Nailatikau reappointed for three years

President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau has been reappointed to serve a second three year term. The president was appointed in 2009 for the first time after the retirement of President Ratu Josefa Iloilo.

Between 2001 and 2006 Nailatikau was Speaker of the House of Representatives. He has also been Deputy Prime Minister, a High Commissioner to London and Minister of Fijian Affairs as well as Minister of Indigenous Affairs, Provincial Government and Multi-Ethnic Affairs. He is married with two children.
