Pro and anti government protesters clash

About 800 pro government protesters were involved in street battles with about 1500 anti government protesters in the Yemen capital, Sanaa, today (17th February 2011). Many have been injured.

Anti government protests have been going on for weeks against President Ali Abdullah Saleh who has been in power for 32 years. The opposition parties have agreed to enter talks with him.
