Protesters march on presidential palace

More than 10,000 anti-government protesters attempted to march on the presidential palace yesterday (Tuesday 29th March) with promises of larger marches later in the week.

Some analysts are saying that the government’s position has seriously weakened in the last few days with more and more soldiers and public servants crossing over to the protester’s side.

Elsewhere, an estimated 150 people have died as a result of a blast in a munitions factory in Jaar in the Abyan province.
