Sarkozy reshuffles cabinet

President Nicolas Sarkozy has made a number of changes to his cabinet. Perhaps the most important is the removal of Michèle Alliot-Marie as Foreign Minister after just three months in the post after revelations concerning her links with the Tunisian government.

The new Foreign Minister is former prime minister Alain Juppé.

Gérard Longuet becomes Defence Minister and Claude Guéant becomes Interior Minister.
