Six finance bills passed today

The Sri Lankan parliament has met in special session today to pass six finance bills.

The six bills are the Finance Bill, Economic Service Charge (Amendment) Bill, Inland Revenue (Amendment) Bill, Nation Building Tax (Amendment) Bill, Ports and Airports Development Levy (Amendment) Bill and Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill.
The bills have to be passed by 31st March, the end of the financial year and are were all presented as part of the 2012 budget.
