Tourism minister sentenced

The former Tourism Minister, Zuhair Garanah has been sentenced to five years imprisonment on charges of profiteering and misappropriation of state funds.

He is the second of a series of ministers who served under former President Mubarak who are being charged with a range of issues mainly around corruption, fraud and illegal use of state funds as well as human rights abuses.
