Laos to join World Trade Organisation

Published

After years of negotiation, Laos finally expects entry to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) on Friday. The country has been steadily growing and now boasts a modern, competitive economy. If the move goes ahead, Laos’ parliament is likely to ratify the move by 2013.

Laos, a Communist country with a population of 6.4 million, has averaged 12% growth since 1990 and this makes it an attractive alternative to China for investors.
