New poll bad news for Obama

Published

A new poll released yesterday by Gallup shows that just 26% of Americans now approve of the way President Barack Obama is handling the economy. That is a drop of 11% based upon the previous Gallup poll conducted in May 2011.

The president has similar low approval ratings for his handling of the federal budget deficit crisis, just 24% approve, and creating jobs, just 29% approve. The poll would suggest that the president has lost the support of independents and that it is the Democrats alone who now support him.
