PO maintains lead

Two new opinion polls show the ruling Civic Platform (PO) maintaining its lead but with a drop in support for them along with their main opponents. The number of undecided’s has increased from around 5% to 15%.

Homo Homini for Polskie Radio puts Civic Platform (PO) on 34% with their main opponents Law and Justice (PiS) on 25%. A poll by GfK Polonia for Rzeczpospolita puts the PO on 48% and the PiS on 30%.

There has been little change for the third party, Democratic Left Alliance (SLD), which stand on 15% and 11% respectively or the government’s junior coalition partner, the Polish People’s Party (PSL), which stands on 7% and 5%.

The general election will be held on 9th October.
