Expats to get the vote

Around 78% of those who bothered to vote in yesterday’s referendum have given support to allowing the roughly 1.5 million ex-patriots living abroad the right to vote in future elections.

However, turnout was very low, probably about 10% and the Congress of Paraguay has still to approve the measures to turn them into law.
