People vote for new elections


The people of Latvia voted on Saturday in a referendum to dissolve parliament and call new elections for the Latvian parliament or Saeima. Around 45% of eligible voters or 689,746 people voted in the referendum of whom 94% wanted parliament dissolved and fresh elections held.

According to the Baltic Times, the most likely date for the elections will be Saturday 17th September.
