Algerian President appoints eight new Ministers

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika carried out a reshuffle of his Cabinet on Saturday, replacing a number of ministers.

The formal announcement (originally in French) is as follows:

“In accordance with Article 93 of the Constitution, and after consulting the Prime Minister, His Excellency Abdelaziz Bouteflika, President of the Republic, Minister of National Defence, today issued a Presidential Decree appointing the following members of the government:

Hadji Baba Ammi; Minister of Finance

Bouterfa Nourredine; Minister of Energy

Nouri Abdelwahab; Minister of Planning, Tourism and Handicrafts

Chelgham Abdesslam; Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries

Talai Boudjema; Minister of Public Works and Transport

Ouali Abdelkader; Minister of Water Resources and the Environment

Ms. Eddalia Ghania; Minister of Relations with Parliament

Boudiaf Mouatassem; Minister Delegate to the Minister of Finance, in charge of the digital economy and the modernisation of financial systems”
