Appointment of new government

Equatorial Guinea’s president, Teodor Obiang Nguema, has announced a cabinet reshuffle and promoted his son to Vice President of National Defence and State Security. Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, known as ‘Teodorin’, is wanted in France on alleged money laundering charges. There were also changes to the constitution which critics claim is a further move toward a handover of power to ‘Teodorin’.

The composition of the new government, as announced on the government website is as follows:
