Bernard Cazeneuve named Prime Minister

President François Hollande has appointed Bernard Cazeneuve as his new prime minister. Cazeneuve, who was Minister of the Interior, replaces Manuel Valls who stood down to stand as a presidential candidate in next year’s elections. The new prime minister will form a new government ‘by the end of the morning’ according to the official press release.
