Cabinet reshuffle continues

President Thein Sein has continued the reshuffle of his Cabinet which started last month. For the first time a woman features in the new Cabinet and the number of civilians has also increased. This reshuffle appears to nearly complete the line-up of the Cabinet changes.

The new appointments as published in New Light of Myanmar are as follows:

Soe Maung; Minister at the President Office (2)
Soe Thein; Minister at the President Office (3)
Aung Min; Minister at the President Office (4)
Tin Naing Thein; Minister at the President Office (5)
Hla Tun; Minister at the President Office (6)
Aye Myint Kyu; Minister of Culture
Maj-Gen Zeyar Aung; Minister of Rail Transportation
Dr Myint Aung; Minister of Mines
Kyaw Lwin; Minister of Construction
Win Shein; Minister of Finance and Revenue
Dr Kan Zaw; Minister of National Planning and Economic Development
Maung Myint; Minister of Labour
Dr Daw Myat Myat Ohn Khin; Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement
