Cabinet resigns

Published

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) has reported that the entire Cabinet has submitted its resignation to Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

The move came a day before the Constitutional Court is due to rule on the validity of the 2013 parliamentary elections and also before a meeting of the National Assembly when the Municipality, Social Affairs and Education Ministers were due to be questioned by parliamentarians and when a confidence motion was to be brought against the State Minister for Planning and Development Affairs, Rola Dashti.

KUNA reports that Health Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said “The Government will not be able to attend the National Assembly sessions until the issue of the resignations has been resolved.”
