CFK shuffles Cabinet

On her first day back following a month off after brain surgery, on Monday President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner made a number of changes to her Cabinet. The changes follow a dismal election campaign for the president’s party in mid-term elections in October.

The changes as announced on the presidential website are as follows:

Jorge Capitanich; Chief of Cabinet Ministers
Axel Kicillof; Minister of Economy
Hernán Lorenzino; Head of Executive Unit of Restructuring Debt within the Ministry of Economy and Ambassador to the European Union
Carlos Casamiquela; Minister of Agriculture
Carlos Fábrega; Governor of the Central Bank of Argentina
