Clément Mouamba named PM

The president of the Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville) Denis Sassou Nguesso has named Clément Mouamba as his new Prime Minister.

Nguesso was sworn into office for a further term of office last week (he has been in power since 1997) after the presidential election on 20th March.

Clément Mouamba was previously Minister of Finance for the country between 1992 and 1993.
