Defence and Foreign Ministers retain posts

Published

President Juan Manuel Santos has confirmed that he will be keeping the current Defence and Foreign Ministers in their posts.

Juan Carlos Pinzón was expected to lose his post as Minister of Defence because of a deteriorating internal security situation. In recent times FARC rebels appear to be making a comeback in some parts of the country.

The president also confirmed that María Ángela Holguín would remain as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

President Santos has still to fill vacant post in Mines and Agriculture and may yet reshuffle other members of his Cabinet.
