Deputy PM resigns

Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawi has accepted the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Cooperation Ziad Bahaa-Eddin. Planning Minister Ashraf al-Arabi will act as interim international cooperation minister.

A reshuffle is expected in the next few days if Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Field Marshall Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stands down as expected to become a candidate in the forthcoming presidential election.
