Emmanuel Issoze Ngondet invited to form ‘Open Government’

Published

Gabon’s recently re-elected president in a controversial and contested presidential election, Ali Bongo, has asked his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emmanuel Issoze Ngondet to take the post of Prime Minister and form an open government.

The proposal suggests that the president is hoping to get members of the opposition into his government in order to legitimise his contested re-election which he won with less than 6,000 votes.
