Environment Minister resigns

Israel’s Environment Protection Minister, Avi Gabai, has resigned from his Cabinet portfolio in protest at the recent Cabinet reshuffle which brought in Avigdor Lieberman and his right-wing Yisrael Beitenu party into the coalition. Gabai is a member of the centrist Kulanu party which has ten seats in the Knesset.
