Foreign Affairs Minister stands down

Keit Pentus-Rosimannus, Estonia’s Foreign Minister has resigned her portfolio. The decision has been accepted by Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas who praised the work of the minister both as Foreign Affairs and previously Environment Minister.

The Minister resigned after a Tallinn court ruled that she was connected with the bankruptcy of her father’s freight company and along with other defendants must ay claims to creditors.

Keit Pentus-Rosimannus had been Minister of Foreign Affairs since November 2014.
