Foreign Minister resigns

Published

The Honduran Foreign Minister Arturo Corrales has submitted his resignation to President Juan Orlando Hernández. The president has accepted the resignation and appointed Mr. Corrales as his advisor.

No official reason was given for the resignation but it is believed to be linked to the murder of an anti-drugs official by unnamed police officers when Arturo Corrales was security minister.

No replacement has been announced.
