Gets number one good governance spot

Mauritius has won the number one slot for the fifth year in a row in the Ibrahim Index of African Governance. The index is broken down into four categories, Safety & Rule of Law, Participation & Human Rights, Sustainable Economic Opportunity and Human Development.

Mauritius received a score of 82 out of a possible 100.

Since last reporting, two further posts have been filled to complete the line-up of the Cabinet. They are:

Mireille Martin is the new Minister of Gender Equality, Child Development and Family Welfare.

Sutyadeo Moutia is the new Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Reforms.
