Infrastructure Minister resigns

Published

The Solomon Star has reported that Minister of Infrastructure Development (MID) Jimmy Lusibaea has resigned his portfolio with the ruling Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) Government led by Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare. The minister cited that he no longer had trust in the current leadership as the reason for his resignation. The minister was appointed last October in a reshuffle.

UPDATE: 09/05/2016 Jimmy Lusibaea was reinstated today after a short political crisis. Apparently the deal agreed with the prime minister was that all members of the Ports Authority board will be replaced next year.
