Interior minister resigns

Published

Minister for the Interior Faouzi Abdelali has resigned following criticism of his handling of recent violence including a car bombing and attacks on Sufi holy sites.

The resignation is largely symbolic as a new government is to be put in place by the new national Congress within the next few weeks.
