Interior Minister resigns

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi of Iraq has accepted the resignation of his Minister of Interior Mohammed Salem al-Ghabban. The resignation comes after a bomb planted by ISIL in a busy shopping area of Baghdad on 3rd July exploded killing more than 250 people.

The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq reported recently that 662 people were killed in June alone as a result of terror attacks.
