Jammeh appoints new Cabinet

Following the resignation of the Cabinet on 2nd February, President Yahya Jammeh has started appointing a new Cabinet.

The names released so far are:

Mrs. Isatou Njie-Saidy Vice President and Minister of Women’s Affairs
Mambury Njie Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs
Dr. Mamadou Tangara Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Corporation and Gambians Abroad
Ousman Sonko Minister of Interior
Fatou Mas Jobe-Njie Minister of Tourism and Culture
Abdou Kolley Minister of Fisheries and Water Resources
Dr. Mariama Sarr Ceesay Minister of Higher Education, Research Science and Technology

The appointments may be short lived as the country goes to a parliamentary election on 29th March.
