Jordan has new Finance and Transport Ministers


Abdullah II of Jordan has carried out a minor reshuffle of his Cabinet on the recommendation of Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour.

Omar Zuhair Malhas has been appointed as the new Minister of Finance. Omar Zuhair Malhas (55) was, until his new appointment, Chief Executive Officer at The Housing Bank for Trade & Finance. Prior to that he was Deputy General Manager at the Doha Bank. He has an MBA in international banking and finance from the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom) and a BS in business administration from the University of Louisiana (United States).

Ayman Hatahet has been appointed as the new Minister of Transport. Ayman Hatahet (53) has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from London and was President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry until his new appointment.
