King conducts reshuffle

King Abdullah ibn Abdilazīz carried out a reshuffle of his Cabinet on Monday. The King removed six ministers and appointed eight new ministers for the portfolios of health, higher education, transport, agriculture, social affairs, communications and information technology, culture and information, and Islamic affairs.

The names of the new Ministers and their portfolios is as follows:

Mohammed Alhayazie; Minister of Health

Abdul Aziz Al-Khodairy; Minister of Culture and Information

Khaled Al-Sabti; Minister of Higher Education

Sulaiman Al-Humaid; Minister of Social Affairs

Fahaad Al-Hamad; Minister of Communications and Information Technology

Abdullah Al-Muqbil; Minister of Transport

Walid Al-Khereiji; Minister of Agriculture

Sulaiman Abalkhail; Minister of Islamic Affairs

Essam bin Saad bin Saeed; State Minister and Chief of the Cabinet’s Experts Commission
