Published

Libya’s Deputy Minister of Industry, Hassan Al-Darole, has been shot dead in his home town of Sirte.

The assassination took place soon after the Isha Prayer, sometime around 7.30 p.m. local time (Isha is the final of five daily prayers for practising Muslims).

The Libya Herald reports that the killing may have been committed by a group loyal to the former regime known as the Abu Bakr Unis Jabr brigade.
