Mohamed Dionne is Senegal’s new Prime Minister

President Macky Sall has appointed Mohamed Dionne as Senegal’s new Prime Minister. He replaces Aminata Toure who was sacked on Friday.

Mohamed Boune Abdallah Dionne (54) was the Minister in charge of the implementation of the Plan of Emerging Senegal (PSE) before taking up this new position. Previously he had been at the Central Bank of West African States and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).

A list of 33 Ministers for the new Cabinet was reportedly approved yesterday but has not, as yet, been released.
