New Cabinet structure

Uzbek president, Islam Karimov has expanded the number of Deputy Prime Ministers from six to seven according to a report in the Trend press agency.

The agency reports that the department run by a Deputy Prime Minister covering education, health, social protection, information systems and telecommunications has been split.

A new Deputy Prime Minister, Adham Ikramov (44) will cover education, health, social protection.

Information systems and telecommunications will be covered by Abdullah Aripov who was previously in charge of the larger department.
