New Deputy Prime Minister

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has appointed a new Deputy Prime Minister. The Director of the State Agency for Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources, Yagshygeldi Kakayev has been made a Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the equivalent to a Deputy Prime Minister.

According to the Trend News Agency, Yagshygeldi Kakayev graduated from the Turkmen Polytechnic Institute in 1982, was head of department at the Turkmen Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources from 1996 to 2007 and in 2007 he was appointed as chairman of Turkmengaz. He has been Director of the State Agency for Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources 2008.
