New Foreign Minister

Mohammed el-Orabi has been named as the new Foreign Minister to replace Nabil El-Arabi.

El-Arabi was chosen as the new head of the Arab league last month.

60 year old El-Orabi is a career diplomat who has served in the Egyptian Embassy in Israel and spent six years in Berlin as the Egyptian Ambassador to Germany. He is said to have a quiet persuasive manner.
