New Prime Minister

King Abdullah II has appointed a new prime minister following the resignation of Awn Khasawneh on Thursday only six months after taking office.

Fayez al-Tarawneh has been asked to form a temporary government until elections can be held later this year. The 63 year old was prime minister previously between August 1998 and March 1999.
