President Pierre Nkurunziza has reshuffled and replaced seven of his 21 ministers in a Cabinet reshuffle this week. Opposition parties have said that the reshuffle is unlikely to stop the slide back into civil war. The country emerged from a previous war in 2006 after thirteen years of conflict.

The new ministers are listed below as published on the government of Burundi official website:

Gabriel Nizigama Minister of Public Security
Laurent Kavakure Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
Pascal Barandagiye Minister of Justice
Clotilde Nizigama Minister of Finance and Planning Economic Development
Clotilde Niragira Minister of National Solidarity, Human rights and Gender issues
