Oil Minister replaced in limited reshuffle

Ali Al-Omair has been moved from his oil portfolio following a dispute with top oil executives. A royal decree issued yesterday named him as the new Minister of Public Works and State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs.

Anas Al-Saleh, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance will replace Ali Al-Omair as oil minister in an acting capacity.

Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sabah has been named as the new Minister of Electricity and Water in addition to his post as Minister of State for Cabinet affairs.
